Growing up in a defence household meant moving constantly, eight schools across eight cities before graduation. What could have been a fractured childhood became, instead, a masterclass in adaptation.
His father, a decorated officer who wore tire-sole chappals to his son's college, gave him something no school could: the values of honesty, empathy, and an unshakeable refusal to cut corners.
When Sanjeev chose commerce over engineering, a decision that puzzled everyone around him, his father simply said, "I trust you." That act of trust became the blueprint for how Dr. Rastogi would one day lead thousands of his own people, a journey later recognised with the GCC Pioneer Award and a place on the CIO Powerlist.

CA. Cost Accountant. Company Secretary. Most people spend a decade pursuing one of these. Dr. Sanjeev Rastogi earned all three in three years, achieving distinction in subjects he had never formally studied before.
And then, at the age of 50, he completed his M.Phil. and PhD in Commerce at Bharathiar University. Not for prestige. Because curiosity, for him, has never had an expiry date. He also holds a Master Black Belt in Six Sigma, is an ICF Certified Coach, and a Certified Member of the Institute of Risk Management.

Active member of Rotary International and a two-year Treasurer, Dr. Sanjeev Rastogi finds in community service the same purpose he brings to every enterprise. He visits IIMs, management institutes, and CA forums. Mentoring the next generation of GCC leaders and young professionals not for visibility, but because contributing to what comes next is, for him, non-negotiable.
Recipient of the National Best Supporting Spouse Award, the first time Rotary introduced this category. It is perhaps the recognition he values most, because it has nothing to do with business.
